Sending a One Time Message

Steps: 

  1. Navigate to the ‘Engage’ tab, hover your mouse over ‘One Time Messaging’, and click “Send a Message”.
  2. Under the ‘select recipients’ tab, check the box for the desired recipient list, such as patients (which we will use for this example).
  3. You should now see an alphabetized list of all of your patients on today’s date of procedure. You can filter your list by contact, room, source or physician. You can also select the calendar icon to choose a different procedure date.

    PRO TIP: Click the column headers to sort the list. You can also select specific patients by clicking the boxes next to their names or select all the patients by clicking the patients box at the top.

  4. Once you have your patients selected, scroll down to the message section where you can compose and send a new message from scratch, or select a message template from the drop down menu.
  5. Once you have your template selected, use the right hand box to update any custom objects within the message. The left hand box is used to preview your message.

    NOTE: Keep in mind that there is a 160 character limitation for text messages. There is no character limitations for email messages, located directly under the text message box.

  6. Once you are happy with your message, click “Send Now” to send the message. Once the message is sent, you will be automatically navigated back to your patient communication center.
