Do Add On Cases Receive Messages All At Once?

Answer: The answer depends on your facility’s Suppress Messages for ‘Add On’ Patients setting. If you’re unsure of your configuration for Add On cases, contact your 1MP representative.

  • If the Suppress Messages for ‘Add On’ Patients setting is activated, then all pre-op messages are suppressed and not sent. This means your Add On patients will not receive any pre-operative Clinical Pathway messages. They will still receive any day-of and post-operative messages (i/a). To provide Add On patients pre-operative information, we suggest calling the patient or sending a One-Time Message.
  • If the Suppress Messages for ‘Add On’ Patients setting is deactivated, then pre-op messages are not suppressed and will be sent. This means your Add On patients will receive all the previously scheduled messages configured at your facility at once, up until the current date/time. Then, they’ll begin receiving any day-of and post-operative messages (i/a) based on the pre-configured Timing.
