Passport Big Board and Passport Engage offer a ride home text functionality.
This feature allows the patient to request, upon checkin, that text messages be sent to their family members.
Note: The Patient Check-in feature must be activated for your facility in order to take advantage of this functionality. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you’d like to use Patient Check-in.
Feature Set Up:
- You must be a Big Board user with admin access to set up this feature.
- Navigate to the ‘Status Configuration’ setting on the Big Board Management screen.
- Identify the status you’d like to add a text message to.
- Click the “Add or Edit” button next to that status, and type your desired verbiage to be sent via text message.
- Click “Save” when complete.
Best Practices & Tips: When selecting the status, ensure that it is the same status assigned to a patient following their check-in. You can confirm this by going to the “Manage Patient Check-In” screen and scrolling to the bottom.
Patient Facing Side:
- Once the patient checks in, they will be assigned a patient number and asked to confirm or update the information for their ride home.
- When the patient selects the “Update/Confirm” button, the ride home mobile number receives a text message sent from Engage to confirm opt in.
- If the “Do Not Text Ride Home” is selected, a text does not go out and the ride home text feature may not be used for any Big Board procedure status.
