Editing, Creating, and Customizing Views

This functionality is only available to users with Administrative access.

  1. Log into Big Board and navigate to the Management page.
  2. From here you can customize or edit as many board views as your facility needs.
  3. Select “Add new view” under Board views.
  4. Name your view based on where it’s intended to be seen. Example: Your lobby or O.R. hallway. Select the default box if you’d like this view to always show up first.
  5. Select how the time should be formatted (i.e 24-hour clock or standard)
  6. Under Columns Display, choose what data should show up. Example: For your lobby view, choose patient initials, status, and physician.
  7. Filter out patients that shouldn’t show up on this view based on their status, physician or other factors. Example: Filter out patients with a discharge or cancelled status from the Lobby View.
  8. Select the “Rows per page” (how many patients you want to see at any given time). Example: 10 patients at a time, and every 25 seconds, the board will flip to the next 10.
  9. Select “Allow Manual Page Progression,” if you prefer to manually flip through the pages of patients (overriding the timer).
  10. Choose how patients are organized in this view by room, time of procedure, patient name, or patient number.
  11. Decide is you’d like to make room staff visible in this view or not by checking off “Show Room Staff.”

Don’t forget to save your changes and you’re done.
