Managing Timeout Flag

When creating a Big Board status, you also have the option to designate a timeout period for that status. In other words, you can specify the max amount of time a patient should be in a particular status.

Once the patient has been in that status for over the max time, a flag will appear on the board to alert the staff.

You can customize reasons why you might clear this flag, as well as actions that you can indicate you’ve taken upon clearing it.

When a staff member goes to clear a flag, or delay the timeout, the system will prompt them to select a reason for clearing the flag (which can be made optional in your settings).

Example: A staff member may select that they are clearing the flag due to the fact that the procedure is still in progress and the subsequent action that they are taking is that they are updating the family.
