Setting Up And Customizing Statuses

To to set up and customize Big Board statuses, you must be an administrative user.

Steps:

  1. Log into the Big Board facility portal, navigate to ‘General Settings’, and click “Status Configuration.”
  2. You can add, edit or delete statuses as well as choose the text and background color.
  3. To add a Procedure Status, click in the next empty box under the ‘Procedure Status’ column and the add the status that you’d like to display. To move the procedure status, simply hover over the number next to that procedure status and drag it to the location you’d like it to be at.
  4. To delete any of the procedure statuses, click the “trash can” icon in the delete column next to the status.
  5. To change the text color of the procedure status, click in the color box next to the procedure status and choose one of the many color options.
  6. To change the background color of the procedure status, click inside the color box next to that procedure status and change it to the color you’d like.

Timeout Setting:

Once you’ve made your selection, you’ll then want to decide if you want a timeout setting. A timeout setting doesn’t actually put the status on timeout, instead, it puts a flag next to that status alerting your staff members that the patient has been in that status location for longer than the time allotted. This may mean the patient needs to be moved to another area of the facility or maybe that the status needs to get updated.

  • To choose the timeout settings, click the drop-down and choose one of the options shown. Once you’re done making your selections, click “Save.”
